late night convos amuse the hell out of me
Me, reading Geek Feminism headlines aloud: "Will you be a sexy witch, a sexy bee, or a sexy girl-geek for Halloween?"
hyounpark: "Because whatever it is, it's gotta be sexy! Like, how about a sexy ... entomologist?"
Me: "Oh, like Bambi?"
hyounpark: "..."
Me: "On the X-Files."
hyounpark: "..."
Me: "She was an entomologist! And Mulder couldn't stop staring at her chest!"
hyounpark: "... you aren't making this up, are you. Oh, boy."
*
Also, this came across my reading path elsewhere, and it amused the hell out of me, and I totally need to iconify it:
"Capitalization is the difference between helping your Uncle Jack off a horse and helping your uncle jack off a horse."

Wait, what? I only saw that quote, no link!Oops, nevmind, comprehension confusion. Thought sexy Elmo was having to do with one's Uncle Jack and a horse. (Hadn't actually read the GF story yet, just the headline.)

I may be in need of an intervention.

Me: \o/ :D :D :D \o/
Me: *looks at that list* "Eh, I'm not sure I totally agree with it - I mean, I loved the MeMo arc and One Breath and Humbug, but where the hell is PUSHER?!"
(it is late; we are speaking in punctuation extremes.)

Though I don't think he was actually staring at her chest.

And yeah, probably not; Mulder was usually a lot more subtle than that. He was attracted to her, IMO, though!

unfortunately, eschewing capitals seems to be such a departure from modern standard english (my spell-checker is underlining "english" with a wavy red line) that many people will assume you must be illiterate, or just stupid, or in some other way not worth paying attention to. i must therefore subjugate myself to the whims of the language imperialists, and litter my writing with your so-called standard capitalisation.
