Scale is *so weird* here. We're about to head over to a bookstore in the Venetian (two buildings behind the Flamingo, which is lit up sort of pinkishly), and that's almost two miles away.
I had already made two business trips to Las Vegas when I ran across James Howard Kunstler's The City in Mind. I was flipping through it in the bookstore, and when I came across this passage, I bought the book:
