Planworld originated *from* finger .plans! :D The concept got ported to the web by a couple of young alums/then-students when Amherst IT shut down the VAX and Unix servers in 2001, along with a few Amherst-specific tools from the terminal implementation that made it easier to tell when somebody else was tagging you on their plan for a conversation, and has been puttering along ever since. For awhile there, the average age was rising; the majority of users were from between the classes of about '96 and '10, and not many new users came along in the 2010s. But there's been a renaissance among the classes of '19 and '20 or later, and there's a few dozen of the youth onboard now :)
