love and flowers and happy lives to all of you out there getting married today and in the near future. 'specially those of you who couldn'tve gotten married here just a few short hours ago.

you all know my feelings about this, no need for eloquence. just celebration. and hope. :)

also amused by the number of people who've noted that the world hasn't ended yet!

and snarkily amused that at least one of the 12 protesters who showed up at CCH last night was standing on the american flag. so you want congress to pass an amendment banning gay marriage, but you're getting your muddy footprints on the flag representing said government?

even more snarkily amused that fred phelps showed his face. hope he got an eyeful! hahaha :D

Well, you know. There's a lot of people out there who aren't exactly the brightest crayons in the box. Especially those who are fanatical enough to go out and protest. JMHO.

yeah. to be honest, i was kind of expecting more protesters, considering the larger groups i've seen gathering on the common during the legislature's being in session to try to modify the state constitution. i'm glad there weren't.

At the start of the war, we had counter-protesters at our weekly peace vigil for a few weeks. One night, one of them was waving around a flag, shouting at us about being unpatriotic, blah, blah... came over to get in our faces, and promptly managed to drop the flag into the middle of the street.

...I offered him my lighter, as once the flag has touched the ground, title-code says you're supposed to burn it, but he didn't like that very much.
